Jared and I spent our very 1st FULL weekend away from the kiddos...and ohhhh what a weekend it was. Every Summer around this time our good friends Shawn & Amy host a huge party...the attendees...college friends....all the drinks, food and fun you can handle. In previous years the party has been at Shawn & Amy's in Indiana...but because they are in the process of moving to KC..the party was in town. We left the kiddos in the very capable hands of Nana Cathy and her friend Colleen who flew in from St. Louis to help out!!! Besides the kiddos feeling a little under the weather the weekend went wonderfully for everyone!!!
It is always fun to get together with old friends...and as we've grown older we added lots of *new* friends to the bunch as well. It was fun to look around this year and see that almost everyone is now married...or engagaed, some of us have kiddos....some don't. Despite all our lives going in very different directions since college...it's awesome how we can get together and relive the fun we've had...and of course add some new stories about the fun that was had this year!!

Good job on getting away! I am a full believer in time off! Every, Momma needs it, but HOM Mom's REALLY need it! Yay You! You look wonderful btw!
